Dr. Magidson received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of Maryland, College Park and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her clinical training has focused on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, and difficulties with adjustment, as well as adherence and self-care to promote healthy behavior change. She has experience collaborating with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and other health providers.
In addition to clinical practice, her primary appointment is at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She is conducting research to evaluate the implementation of CBT and mindfulness in a variety of clinical and research settings. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on this topic. She also conducts seminars at MGH/Harvard and speaks at national and international conferences on the implementation of CBT and mindfulness-based interventions. She is a licensed psychologist and health service provider in the state of Massachusetts.
